How to install any custom ROM on Android?

Most of the time people bricked their Android device because then don't follow the rules properly. Here's some tips before installing any custom rom.

1. Your device must be on stock ROM.
2. Root your device. Sometimes not required in some device. how to Root?
3. Always go with most stable ROM's like for (Samsung galaxy y duos GT6102 Stable rom is XDUOS)
3. Download ROM and CWM (customworkmod) compatible with your device.
4. copy both files in your sd card in root directory means not in any folder.
5  now switch off your device and start in recovery mode by holding ( home key + volume up + power
key ). In cwm mode touch screen will not work use volume up/down key for scrolling and for selection use Home key.
6. now you see 4 options there first wipe data/ factory reset , then wipe cache partition.
7. now choose apply update from sdcard.
8. and select cwm from sdcard
9.choose wipe data / reset
10. choose wipe cache and partition
11. goto advanced and choose wipe dalvik cache , and then wipe battery stats.
12 go back and choose mounts and storage and format first /data then /system and then /cache
13 now mount data, system, and cache and the same place  if already shown unmount system means system is already mounted
14. now go back choose install zip from sdcard choose your ROM and install.

Sometimes some roms required some modifications so always go with the method provided by rom developer..
