How to Flash Nokia with custom Firmware (cfw) by using J.A.F Flashing Tool?

Now you can enjoy symbian anna, symbian belle, etc on your Nokia S60V5 Device (Nokia 5233, 5800 etc)

Flash Nokia with JAF tool is very simple process if you follow the steps properly.

Note:-

•   After flashing done all your data in phone will be deleted. So take backup before do this.
•   Always choose the firmware of same or upper version.
•   Because downgading may dead your phone .
•   To check your Firmware version dial *#0000#

Step1:-

• Turn off your phone.
• Remove SIM card and memory card
• and left the phone off

Step 2:-

• Install Nokia pc suite for drivers
• connect the phone with pc using Data Cable in off mode.

Step 3:-

• Extract the JAF tool to Desktop
• and the Firmware files to the location shown in pic below:-



• If the folder as shown not present there then create yourself.

Step 4:-

•  Open the JAF tool folder
  
•  Right click on the JAF application >properties>Compatibility
•  For xp user mark only Run us Administrator only
•  For Window 7 users mark on Run this prgram with compatibility for and choose the (window  xp service pack 2) and then also mark on Run us Administrator too.

Step 5:-

• Double click on JAF Tool
• A warning Box appears that the Box not connected so click it ok.
• Now Click on Go button Don't change any settings.

                             

• After that click on the 2nd option BB5.

  

• Mark the Manual Flash, Dead USB,
• Now click on MCU buttonand choose the C0r file from the firmware.
• Next click on PPM button and choose rofs3.V21 file
• Click on CNT button and choose uda.fspx file
• and last is APE varient and choose the same uda.fspx file.
• As you select all files all Green lights Turns ON
• Now click on the Flash Button.

• after 2 sec it ask to PRESS THE POWER ON NOW. now press the power button from phone just for a sec because here we don't want to turn the phone ON. it is just to detect the phone
• after that your Flashing process starts.
• Wait for 2-5 minutes as the process completes
• After completion the process it shows Done!!

• Eject the Data Cable from phone and Restart the phone and enjoy the new OS!!
